1. Investors

Institutional investors and retail investors interested in real estate investment opportunities may participate in REITs in Kenya. These investors provide the capital needed for the establishment and growth of REITs.

2. Capital Markets Authority (CMA)

The Capital Markets Authority- Kenya regulates the capital markets, including the establishment and oversight of REITs. The CMA sets regulations and guidelines for the formation, listing, and operation of REITs in Kenya.

3. Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE)

The Nairobi Securities Exchange PLC provides a platform for listing and trading securities, including REITs.

4. REIT Manager

This is a company authorized by the regulatory body (CMA) to deliver real estate and fund management services for a REIT scheme, serving the interests of investors.

5. Trustee

The primary responsibility is to represent investors in the REIT. This involves evaluating the viability of investment proposals presented by the REIT Manager and ensuring adherence to the terms outlined in the Trust Deed when allocating scheme assets.

6. Property Manager

Their role is supervising the planning and execution of construction projects within the REITs.

7. REITs Association of Kenya (RAK)

The association lays down a structure for industry advancement and facilitates platforms where potential issuers, investors, and regulators can interact and collaborate.
